Door-to-door
A shipment managed end to end — from the seller's door to yours — including freight, customs and both final miles.
Door-to-door means the forwarder handles everything: pickup at origin, export clearance, the main freight leg, import clearance, and delivery to your address. You get one price and one responsible party for the whole journey.
It contrasts with port-to-port or terminal-to-terminal service, where you arrange the trucking and clearance on each end yourself.
Why it matters
Door-to-door removes the gaps where shipments stall — the handoffs between trucking, clearance and freight that no single carrier owns.
